Detroit Landbank Authority
Dedicated to returning Detroit’s vacant, abandoned, and foreclosed property to productive use, the Detroit Landbank Authority DLBA is unmatched in its capacity to fulfill this role thanks, in part, to the unique set of tools we acquired from the Land Bank Fast Track Act of 2003 (State of Michigan Public Act 258). Our tool set includes the ability to: own, manage, and sell property; assemble parcels of land, hold land tax free; recapture 50% of ad valorem taxes for five years on properties sold; leverage development incentives; and expedite property title clearance. Much of DLBA’s current work is focused within Neighborhood Stabilization Program target areas.
