Founded in 1994, the Mission of the Jefferson East Business Association (JEBA) is to be a collaborative leader in fostering economic development on Detroit’s lower east side by creating an environment that is conducive to business and residential growth and development. Program Areas include Economic Development activities; Physical, Community & Land Use Planning; Clean & Safe Initiatives; Business District Services; Marketing, Membership & Special Events and Jazzin’ on Jefferson. These services work to improve the economic climate and quality of life within the Jefferson East Area of Detroit which is comprised of the Jefferson East Business District, Jefferson-Chalmers Neighborhood and the Marina District.
