Launched in 2002, NextEnergy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to become one of the nation’s leading catalysts for alternative and renewable energy. Located in Detroit, we are within easy driving distance of three major research universities and in the heartland of America’s transportation, technology, and manufacturing industries. We participate in research projects totaling millions of dollars and contribute to the development of new technologies for power-generation, transportation and fuels.
