Jeanet is a public finance consultant who spent most of her career in southern California. Jeanet grew up in southeast Michigan, earned her BS degree in Economics from Eastern Michigan University and shortly thereafter, went to California where she earned an MPA from California State University. Jeanet has worked for several public agencies and consulting firms, with the most recent being Parsons Brinkerhoff. Her experience includes the formation and fiscal management of taxing districts with successful bond sales totaling over $100 million. She also has assisted public agencies quantify the impact of new development on local government by generating fiscal and economic impact feasibility studies.

At Work

As a Detroit Revitalization Fellow with Invest Detroit, Jeanet has been seeking to increase the capital of the organization’s loan funds using several public finance mechanisms that are available through the following federal agencies– US Department of Treasury Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund and US Small Business Administration (SBA) Small Business Investment Company. Jeanet has also been assisting the Downtown Detroit Partnership with the feasibility of a local taxing district
