Marcus Lee Clarke
Marcus Lee Clarke comes from the San Francisco Bay Area. For the City of San Mateo, he worked as the Business Liaison and Economic Development Specialist. This experience provided him an opportunity to expand the business development, economic development, and negotiating skills which he first developed at San Francisco’s Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center as a Program Coordinator. Marcus graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a Master’s in City Planning, and attended the University of Washington in Seattle for his undergraduate degree in cultural anthropology. Marcus’ fellowship placement at Detroit Economic Growth Corporation will provide a great opportunity to apply the skills he’s gathered over his educational and professional career to the revitalization of Detroit. For fun, Marcus enjoys ping pong, traveling, the outdoors, spiritual growth, and patiently waiting for his UW Huskies to return back to college football prominence.
