Regina Ann Campbell is a native Detroiter. She is excited to put her master’s from the University of Michigan in Urban & Regional Planning to work. Regina has a Masters in Social Work from Wayne State University in Community Practice Social Action. And, a Bachelors Degree from Western Michigan University. Regina utilized her skills in community & program planning, data collection, facilitation of community meetings, community outreach, policy and program evaluation and was a liaison between the community partners and organization. Regina has held positions ranging from Social Worker, Community Planner, Legislative Analyst, Project Manager, Faculty, Recipient Rights Investigator, Executive Team Member, Union Committeeperson and Director of Community and Economic Development.
Regina works at Vanguard Community Development Corporation as Manager of the Milwaukee Junction Small Business Center (MJSBC). She manages the day to day operations of the Business Center. She works with existing and emerging business owners from the local community, local churches and other local institutions. She also provides support services to existing Milwaukee Junction area businesses through technical assistance and training, resource referrals, access to resource library and marketing support. Regina is responsible for building capacity by creating partnerships, engaging in business related activities in the North End and implementing business center programs.
Regina enjoys volunteering, sewing, travel, cooking, music, the arts, bike riding, nice walks during the warmer months on the Riverwalk with her family (husband and 2 sons) and friends. Engaging in fun and fit activities at the Boll Family YMCA with family and Zumba Classes at True Body Fitness of Detroit.
