Sarida is a native and current Detroiter.  She received a B.S.E. from the University of Michigan and a law degree from the University of California, Berkeley.  She began her career as an assistant corporation counsel for the City of Detroit, primarily serving as a community prosecutor working with neighborhoods to address quality of life issues.  She also spent a year at Legal Aid representing children in neglect and abuse appeals.

At Work

Sarida is currently the Chief Program Officer for Michigan Community Resources (formerly Community Legal Resources).  Michigan Community Resources is a nonprofit serving nonprofit community groups by providing pro bono legal services and technical assistance.  In this capacity, she oversees the programs of the three business lines.

Dec/Jan – Recent priorities include fundraising and oversight of the mini-grant program and new workshop series.

At Play

Sarida enjoys running, gardening and reading – but doesn’t find as much time to enjoy these activities as she would like.  She is married, has an almost 5-year old daughter and two step-children.
